Spring hours
- Youth and apprentice weekend, April 3-4: one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
- April 10-25: one-half hour before sunrise to noon.
- April 26-May 15: one-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Annual limit of three
- No more than 3 turkeys per license year, fall and spring combined, and only 1 may be beardless.
- Spring: 1 bearded bird a day. Hunters may take 1, 2 or 3 in spring depending on how many they took in fall.
- Youth and apprentice weekends: 1 turkey in fall, 1 bearded bird in spring.
- All tags work in either season, whatever the tag wording says, since the annual limit stayed at three.
Fall firearms by county group
- Every open county starts Oct. 17-30. Later segments depend on the county group: some add Nov. 26, others Nov. 25-26 and Nov. 30-Dec. 12 or Dec. 26, and some add Jan. 9-23, 2027.
- Closed to fall firearms: Arlington, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach.
