Turkey zones
- Zone 1: every county not in Zone 2 or Zone 3.
- Zone 2: Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan and Winston counties, and the part of Cullman County north of Lewis Smith Lake and County Road 437 and west of I-65.
- Zone 3: Clarke, Clay, Covington, Monroe, Randolph and Talladega counties, the only zone with a fall season.
Bag limits
- 1 gobbler a day.
- 4 gobblers for the fall and spring seasons combined.
- No more than 2 from any one WMA, CHA or National Forest ranger district, and no more than 1 from each during the first 10 days of each season.
WMAs and National Forest
On WMAs and National Forest lands, hunting runs from daylight to 1 p.m. The Bankhead Ranger District and the Lauderdale, Freedom Hills, Black Warrior, Coon Gulf, Riverton and Martin areas follow Zone 2 dates; other ranger districts and turkey WMAs follow Zone 1 dates.
Fall season in Zone 3
Nov. 14-22 and Dec. 12-27, 2026. Decoys are not allowed in fall.
